Gisborne Young Grower of the Year

The Gisborne Young Grower of the Year competition was held on 11 June 2026.

The 2026 Gisborne Young Grower of the Year competition was open to commercial fruit and vegetable growers from throughout the region. Contestants completed a range of practical and theoretical challenges that test their horticultural knowledge, technical skills, and decision-making abilities. The competition showcased the high calibre of Gisborne's young growers while encouraging professional development and industry connections. The day concluded with a Gala and Awards Dinner, were contestants delivered a speech before James Torrie took home 2026 Gisborne Young Grower of the Year.
