Bay of Plenty Young Grower of the Year

The Bay of Plenty Young Grower of the Year competition was held on 19 June 2026.

The 2026 Bay of Plenty Young Grower of the Year competition recognised the outstanding talent of young people working in the region's fruit and vegetable industries. Competitors completed practical and theoretical challenges throughout the day before participating in a speech competition at the Gala Dinner. William Kenna took home first place and has earned the opportunity to represent the Bay of Plenty at the National Young Grower of the Year competition. Additional prizes, scholarships, and public speaking opportunities were awarded, highlighting the competition's commitment to developing future leaders and celebrating excellence within the horticulture sector.
