Pip Terekia

A returning competitor in the Tairāwhiti Young Grower competition, Pip was highly praised for his achievements in previous competitions, first entering the competition in 2022, placing second, before returning in 2023 and placing third and, this year winning the Gisborne Young Grower regional competition.

Pip enjoys being goal-focused and continuously strives to better himself, which fits well with his current role as a trainee orchard manager at Apata.

With ambitions of orchard ownership, Pip has started his horticulture journey by earning horticultural credentials in food production, leadership, and soil management.

Pip has a very supportive family of which he is very proud. He is looking to go far in the horticulture industry.
